One year later…
April 14th, 2010 by Katie

In one year since I last posted (well, over a year…) SO much has happened to me!

I lost my job at Erie High School, but that was quite alright with me.  The principal is not the most ethical person to work for and I was happy to leave.  As a result, I got hired at Niwot High School which is super awesome.  The students are great and the teachers are wonderful.  I have grown so much working there.

Jon and I got to go to Disney World in Florida in June and Mt. Rushmore in July.  His friends as well as family also came by in the summer.  I took a math class through the district to complete my induction process.  It was pretty fun and very interesting.   It was weird, though, taking it with ALL the Erie math teachers- by accident.

Then, in October this year, I went Breckenridge for a nice get-away weekend and came back engaged.  Jon and I had a wedding website we set up that had a count-down, our story and the proposal story (which I’ll re-post here because it’s awesome!), as well as regular wedding info.  It was the coolest site and I was so proud of Jon!  We also used the website to be a little unconventional with our RSVP’s.  On the back of the invitations we sent out, we gave everyone a code and instructions on how to RSVP.  They would go to the site and type their code.  Then, it would tell them who all was invited in their party and they  could uncheck anyone not able to come.  Then, they’d submit and it was done!  Jon had all the info in electronic form and we didn’t have to deal with any paper or things being lost in the mail!  It was super sweet.

Jon and I got to go home for Thanksgiving and see our families for the first time since being engaged.  We also started looking at facilities to hold the wedding.  In December, we went home for my cousin’s wedding which was very nice.  Since I had finals to give and grade, I went back and forth a bit with Jamie’s wedding and Christmas.

February was kind of busy.  I went home for one long weekend (had a day off school) for a wedding shower.  It was great.  Katie, Sarah, and my mom put together a wonderful party.  Getting my gifts back was a fun task and luckily we were able to return some of the big-bulky items in IL and repurchase them in CO.  Then, the last weekend of February Jon and I got to go back to Disney World by chance.  That make three trips for me to Disney in 13 months- crazy!  We thought it would be a nice break from wedding planning but it ended up backing things up more!

We got married on March 27, 2010 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Glen Ellyn, IL.  We had just under 100 people there and it was so much fun.  The only problem we had was that the DJ we originally hired sent his guy to the wrong CrownePlaza- in Springfield (which is 3-4 hours away).  We found a replacement and everything went so well.  I’ll have to do another post about the wedding and honeymoon.

I’ve moved the important things to Jon’s place now.  We still have my apartment, and will until we move in the next 6 weeks or so.  It’s fun. I like living with him so far.  It’s fun to be home finally.  For a while now, I’ve had to go home and the end of the night, but now I AM home.  I like feeling safe too.  We’re figuring out how to merge our stuff- but so far it’s been ok.

That’s what I have been up to.  Last post- single, this post I am all the way to married!  Quite exciting.

The ultimate answer to sharing success means with others is to develop loyal readers. Which is exactly what you are doing using this useful post. The things you have mentioned are the ones to really pay attention to, given that they remain true it doesn’t matter what the trends. Those who focus on other things do not get good results.

I do consider all of the concepts you have introduced on your post. They are really convincing and can certainly work. Nonetheless, the posts are very short for newbies. May just you please extend them a bit from next time? Thank you for the post.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.

I’m still working on my own blog and making plenty of mistakes about this topic you have reviewed. One big secret I learned is you need to distinguish the final goal of your article inspiring people to make a change and be able to move in the best direction. For me, it took time to realize precisely what my end goals were. When I tackled that, it was very easy for me to teach and help others in this field.

I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

Another key element besides writing important, helpful, and appealing content is making sure that this information is linked to other related articles on your blog. This means that when someone comes to your blog he could come across a good number of additional blogposts linked from the 1 read at first. This way, if a target audience likes your blog he might stay to read the particular archive. This would aid people like me to understand this topic greater.

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

Definitely believe that which you said. Your favorite reason appeared to be on the net the simplest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I certainly get irked while people think about worries that they just do not know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top as well as defined out the whole thing without having side effect , people could take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

I actually started to dive in to this topic all around 2003, and got disturbing experiences back then, throwing away a lot of time for nothing. I stopped when I did not understand much about it having myself buried in other things. Now I am back again. Your blog is a great inspiration to me and I will certainly let my older brother know about this.

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.

Thanks for the publication. Motivation is indeed a significant part that pushes you to another level of accomplishment. A day followed by the other one of disappointment, exhaustion, frustration, blur and lots of others. Motivation keeps us moving. Keep moving, keep building yourself. A bit more and keep fighting, and you’ll eventually get great success. Patience along with our heart is important.

There was clearly so many of the things other bloggers wouldn’t understand when it comes to really supporting others in this area. I believe your case is different. Thanks

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

Hey great news male. Thanks for sharing. But as far as i tried you will need pretty long time to obtain good results. One need to have real patience to get desired results. Not long ago i tried out some web sites for new ideas however I did not get very much, which is really bad. The key to becoming successful is being willing to learn. I think your site will be a good place for me to start out.

You can see where the other two limbs were removed in a photo-editing software. There are two purple-greenish circles, one at the base of the “front leg”, and the other at the top-left of the body (ie the “back”). They look smoother and a little blurred, and if you look close, you can see a bit of a pattern; a classic artifact of the cloning/patch tool. Someone pointed out that you can see “circles” in the pavement as well (ie parts of the photo that have been blurred due to editing). One such circle is right beside its left eye (where the whiskers are), and another is right behind its left/back foot. It’s not clear just how much was edited (the cat may have been in an awkward position at the moment of the photo, or it may have just been walking normally). The overall job is decent, but there are the normal tell-tale signs.
